Oliver Harwood is a professional sculptor with 20 years’ experience and a graduate of the Nova Scotia College of Craft & Design. He is a committed sculptor who runs a large sculpture studio in Vancouver, BC, and has ongoing Public Art projects.

Several years ago, at the request of a local elementary school teacher who wanted his students to learn about stone carving, Oliver Harwood developed a 90 minute in-school stone carving program that was very successful. Soon parents began asking for something similar to make at home. Thus the Studiostone Creative Soapstone Carving Kit was born!
