Collection: Poterie Ginette Arsenault
In the early 1980s, Ginette Arsenault was working as a potter in Tracadie, but over the next 28 years life took her in other directions and pottery took a backseat. However, in the back of her mind, she always thought of the pure joy she felt when working with clay. In 2012 Ginette decided to return to what her soul was calling for. Starting from scratch, she opened her own pottery studio, Poterie Ginette Arsenault, in Shédiac, New Brunswick.
At first, Ginette struggled to find new inspiration for her art; however, after experimenting with shapes, colours, and glazes she developed her “cottage chic” style, which combines her love of cottage living, simple shapes, and brilliant colours. Ginette’s inspiration is the sea, she seeks guidance from it and its ever-changing moods, movements, energy, patience, and quiet contemplation.
