Ashley Brown was born in the Maritimes and her studio is currently located in her historic 19^th century Victorian home in Woodstock, New Brunswick. With a strong focus on quality and natural materials infused with history and time-honored designs, her goods are crafted to last a lifetime of use. Working with her hands as long as she can remember, a fully self-taught leatherworker. Never one to set limits, her creations include hand-drawn lunar calendars, custom screen prints, hand-forged hardware and so much more. Her work is Authentic. Maritime Made. Built to Last.

Using natural materials sourced as locally as possible, Ashley strives to be conscious of what she puts into the world. You will find each element of her designs thoughtfully crafted with a mind for our future. Reclaimed leather and fabrics are an important part of the Hammerthreads product line, transforming forgotten treasures into functional and beautiful things, rescuing these precious materials from the waste stream. Every scrap that lands on their doorstep finds new purpose as one of their many recycled products while a portion of each sale plants a tree in Canadian forests!
