Collection: Wood Designs by Arbour

Jenn and Paul are the artists who created Wood Designs by Arbour in 1996. Their workshop is located in Greenwood, Nova Scotia. Working with wood has been a passion for them for many years and inspired them to create their beautiful pieces. All of their pieces are created using the woodworking technique called Intarsia.

Each section of the design is individually cut, shaped, and sanded, before assembling the pieces like a jigsaw puzzle. A clear protective coating is then applied to enhance the natural colours of the woods and ensure an heirloom quality to each piece. All colours and shades seen in the finished works are natural and cut from different types of wood - no paints or stains are used. All mounted pieces are attached to bases made from stones collected from the tidal worn shores of the Bay of Fundy.
